This is a fraudulent store run by Indians. On September 21, 2025, which was the last day I stayed in Singapore, I visited this shop and bought 2 packs of white Eagle oil and 2 packs of green Eagle oil, totaling 268.88 SGD. I requested to pay 250 SGD in cash and swipe my card for 18.88 SGD. I used Apple Pay at 9:19 AM on 21/09/2025. I thought everything was fine, but today at 12:46 PM on 29/09/2025, I received a notification from my bank in Vietnam about a charge of 250 SGD (equivalent to 5,224,976 VND) for a transaction supposedly made on 27/09/2025, even though I had already returned to Vietnam on 21/09/2025.
The bank informed me that on 21/09/2025, the payment was made via Contactless Card, but the 250 SGD deduction was processed through POS Key Entry (a method where the merchant manually inputs the card number, expiry date, and CVV into the POS machine without the cardholder’s authorization or account authentication). I am not sure whether this is a fraudulent act committed by the store itself or by one of its employees.

I’m a receiver of this diaper cake, and I have to flag that the way your company wrapped it, by using needles— is rather thoughtless and dangerous.
The products inside are meant for babies: onesies, socks, diapers. I had to be extremely careful while disassembling it, practically peeling my eyes open, scared I might miss any of the pins.
This isn’t my first time receiving a diaper cake, there are other ways to put these things together: glue, double-sided tape, you name it. But not pin needles.
Secondly, these needles left (though tiny) holes in the products. See attached photo of the affected onesies & bib.
It’s even more upsetting when I found a label underneath stating, “This diaper cake has 26 pins.” I understand this might be your way of pre-empting recipients about the pins, but just imagine finding fewer than the stated number . It’s frustrating trying to hunt down the missing ones, unsure if they’re still hidden somewhere in the items.
I have a toddler at home, and the thought of a stray pin dropping on the floor where she plays is honestly terrifying. Safety should never be compromised, especially for baby-related gifts.

Really disappointing service, both in terms of delivery standards and customer feedback. Made an order three months in advance and there was no follow through on delivery of status whether before or on day of delivery. Had called multiple times but the calls were either engaged or they don’t bother to return any calls to follow up on delivery on the excuse that they are busy. The bak kwa is meticulously and miraculously BBQ. The testure is soft and bouncy compared to others which are tough to chew.

一直想去博物馆看看，刚好今天有空就去了。
参观后才听说现在适逢翻新中，很多展品都被收起来了。
事实上现在的展馆所呈现出来的状态也不太理想，展品比较少，绝大部分都是一些视频，照片。
展览划分成很多个小区域，整个动线不太清晰，所以整体感觉比较乱。唯一比较有印象的是一开始的大船和后面的坦克。虽然也有展出一些军服，但其实也就那样。
前期介绍最初新加坡岛民的生活，世界大战，后面介绍新加坡立国，进入工业时代等等。可惜介绍都相对表面，没有什么记忆点。当你想深入了解的时候却发现根本没提及，最后还要自己到网上看维基百科。
不是说不好看，只是如果期望是国立博物馆水平的展览，现在的确达不到这个水平。

There a variety of shops that sells many different types that may interest you. With every level offering a different experience, you should not stop at just 1 floor, explore the place out. There is a catch about the place that you should take note.
The escalators are all moving up. For down, there are escalators that are not moving but at most reaching up to 4. If you are at level 5 and wished to come back down, you gota use the emergency stairs or use the lift. Some who were there when we were around, got lost and was grumbling constantly.

This is a very niche photography museum—so niche that it’s not even mentioned in Singapore travel guides, and you might walk right past it without noticing.
The exhibitions inside are free, but they mainly consist of a few framed photographs and a selfie corner. The displayed artworks and decorations change from time to time. The second floor houses photography-related books, though it’s unclear whether any visitors actually sit down to read them.
The air conditioning inside is quite strong, making it a good place to take a break if you're tired from walking. However, since very few people visit—locals included—the second floor is usually unlit. If you want to go up, the front desk will ask why.
Then, someone will escort you upstairs, turn on the lights, and switch on the air con-definitely a unique experience compared to other museums.

Apart from the building which is an interesting one, considering that this was once a very small church, I think it's worth the time visiting a gallery focused on works of quality photographers.
There were three exhibits. One in the old church and 2 in the building next to it. All the exhibits were well curated with interesting and artistic photographs exhibited.
There were very few visitors as it was around 5pm on a weekday. I would say 30 mins to see all but a little longer if you are one who truly shows interest in such exhibits. 但是以后一定不懒惰提前做好功课，一群人大眼瞪小眼不知道点什么好，现场翻小红书和大众点评找推荐菜。
点了一个黑果鸡，黑果不知是什么东西，壳里面据说是果肉，还挺满，但挖出来吃的感觉就是中国的豆豉。整道菜我可以说是豆豉鸡吗？鸡肉还行，但未达到我的标准，直白的说就是鸡肉还略干。
Rendang牛肉到哪家娘惹菜餐厅都必须点，算是娘惹特色菜，对我来说就是感觉一下各家同样一道菜的不同之处，这家的Rendang牛肉的酱coconut味道更浓一些，上面脆脆丝配着牛肉也有些特色，但这的炖牛肉不是我吃过最香最软烂的。
Jantong Pisang（香蕉花和黄瓜）沙拉也是有点特色，酸辣的味道很突出，但比泰式的酸辣更加尖锐一些。四川的朋友很喜欢吃，我家楼下就有香蕉树，看过其开花和结果，于是仔细在碗里寻找熟悉的身影，未果，不要问我到底哪个是香蕉花。
虾有好多种，酸甜，辣的，咖喱叶的，酸豆，我们点的大概是辣+酸豆，调味不错，这里的虾也新鲜而且不小
素菜点了番薯叶，这个汁有虾酱的味道，特别适合配饭，味道是很好的
鱼是配的蔬菜咖喱汁，味道没有蔬菜咖喱那么浓，鱼好吃。
甜点必须让北京朋友尝尝chandol + 榴莲，chandol就是在我眼里就是绿豆粉，算马来特色。

The school's exterior looks impressive. The interior looks like a pile of tall concrete with no paint and soulless. There is no art. Didn't see any art in public spaces. Not sure if the whole idea is to look like a soviet union canteen but the interior looks souless just like many government schools. I thought an art school should be inspiring, creative and nice. I am an artistic person, I would expect it looks inspiring. Meaning when I walk in, I feel the Art in this building, Interior and Exterior. The floor concrete on the outside looks old and broken. There is no signs of baby trolley, handicap access at the front entrance for people to navigate their way in. There are a few floors of halls for drama, theater etc. The school lacks of character and soul. On top of that, the canteen stall (fried fish burger) didn't taste any good. Fried with old oil. Didn't eat thereafter.
The canteen fruit juice is dishonest. Serve 3 cups of coconut juice with fresh inside and the juice is made up of syrup and water. All three tasted the same too. We drank coconut all our lives so we could tell the difference. The highly concentrate sugar content is a killer for diabetics and people who cannot consume sugar. I confronted the lady at the stall (there were one man and woman) and she denied it. She said it is 100%coconut. We knew she is lying so we asked of her to show us the coconut (they claimed they served into a cup, threw the coconut away) Coconut needs to serve fresh and she didn't keep any all any coconut? We told her one of us is diabetic so she could come clean if not one of us might lost a leg and she insisted they were right. A dishonest vendor. Went to SOTA for the first time ever to see an art exhibition, SOTA P6 Art Competition 2022. It is very near to NAFA at Bencoolen St and we decided to swing by after picking my son from his art class there.
I like the design of the SOTA building especially the brown ‘panels’ and wondered what was the material used. I took the chance to touch it … it’s concrete!

My son bought their ayam buah keluah and chap chy for our lunch. We have eaten at this establishment and expected the same quality taste etc in a takeaway meal...but we were greatly disappointed. Their ayam buah keluah had only small chicken pieces and NO Buah Keluah seeds. The black gravy tasted on the sweet side and not the bitter taste associated with buah keluah.

Saw some nice items on their website and decided to visit their physical shop. Such a good decision, as they have lovely things on display that sparked more gift ideas. Must-see store if you drop by Joo Chiat. All the designs are unique and created by the Onlewo owners. I love that they capture evocative elements of Singaporean heritage, sites and sights - we have so much to cherish and be proud of. Bought several cushion covers to embellish my home space. Beautiful and unique shop run by two self-taught designers Eugene and Mike. They draw inspiration from their own life experiences and surroundings, for example, capturing 200+ different window grill designs around Tiong Bahru over 6 days then manipulating the patterns digitally to add their own interpretation, resulting in one-of-a-kind pieces that evoke nostalgia for local Singaporeans while creating a sense of wonder for folks like me who didn't grow up here.
